CAN YOU SPONSOR THIS LOVELY OLD WOMAN?

She lives in Bang Muang, Thailand, and has no income. Since her expenses are very low, we think that she can live on about 2,000 Baht a month (appx. $60/month, or $720 for the year, starting this July.) She was receiving money from a non-profit, but that has stopped! She has no family and is living thanks to neighbors and friends who are helping her out. But this is not a well-to-do community. Her one-room house, plus bathroom, was built for her by another non-profit, and she keeps it and her little yard meticulously clean. I am hoping that we can find a sponsor. Gary and I have given money to last through June 2010. She has an ATM card which she knows how to use, and we can put 6 months money into that account each time we go to Thailand. Thanks for anything you can do.

Takua pa Hospital Fund initiated by: Lars & Eva Henrikssen and now taken over and administered by Amanda DeNormanville & Gary Soden on behalf of All for Villages.

Our hospital fund for poor people served 25 patients in the past 6 months. Here are just six of them: (Exchange rate appx 100 Baht = $3; 1,000 Bt = $30)

* 42 y o woman with AIDS and blind in one eye, needed help to pay for transport to Sonkla University, in the south, and treatment for CMV Retinitis. 4,000 Baht

* 57 y o woman needed transport to the hospital 200 Baht

* 27 y o man, no medical insurace, with injuries from motorcycle accident - broken legs and ruptured intestine. We paid half the hospital cost of 60,000 - 30,000 Baht

* 29 y o man, schitzophrenic, round trip transportation to hospital 120 Baht

Without this fund these patients could not get the medical help they need. Could YOU be a part of it? We need your help, and it is rewarding to see the results!

We need 60,000 to 80,000 Baht every 6 months. (1,000 Baht = appx. $30) i.e. $1,800 to $2,400.

Thank you for your support, and pics coming soon, when someone can help me post 'em!
